GAGDC Launches "SHOP SOUTH" To Support Local Businesses

The Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation's campaign to shop local was created and first initiated, as part of the a strategy to promote shopping local in south side communities, that were included our Neighborhood Business Development Council (NBDC) service area. We chose to create and adopt the slogan to "Shop South" to:

  • Promote shopping at independently owned local business in our NBDC service area and ultimately expanding to promote all businesses across all neighborhoods on the City's South Side
  • Keep and put more dollars back into the South side communities
  • Keep and to create more local jobs
  • Keep, attract and help businesses thrive so we can eat, play, work and shop within our neighborhoods and
  • Offer to the rest of the city and beyond a place to shop at a diverse set of businesses unique to our neighborhoods
