Music is a very important part of the culture on the Southside of Chicago and no genre more so than gospel. On Saturday, July 19, 2014, the sounds of good gospel music filled the air in Englewood, at the historic Ogden Park, for the 18th Annual Southside Neighborhood Gospel Festival. This annual festival is organized by the Christmas in Englewood NFP. The event had a little something for everyone. It is always a day filled with food, fun and good-spirited music by local gospel artists.
Outside of the City of Chicago's annual gospel fest downtown, Christmas in Englewood has been called the largest neighborhood Gospel Festival. This event draws residents from Englewood, Auburn Gresham, and surrounding communities.
17th Ward Alderman Latasha Thomas and the organizing committee thanked the many residents and performers that came out to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather and music, and say, "We certainly are looking forward to next year's festival!"
"a beautiful little girl, isn't she lovely?"

Look at one of our youngest resident at the Christmas in Englewood gospel festival. Isn't she lovely! Not gospel, but can't you just here Stevie Wonder's rendition, when you look at this little neighborhood cutee.
