An exciting new café and bakery opened its doors on 79th Street approximately two weeks ago offering patrons the ultimate wireless café and bakery eatery experience.
Perfect Peace Café & Bakery is a new and exciting establishment located at 1255 West 79
th Street with an extensive menu featuring baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and hearty soups. The food is prepared with the highest quality ingredients available, and from local suppliers, when possible.
According to co-owners Julie Welborn and Denise Nicholes, “We set a high standard of excellence in presentation and taste with every item we sell and prayer is always the first ingredient.”
Perfect Peace Café & Bakery has had a huge impact on the Auburn Gresham community in its first week of operation causing Welborn and Nicholes to work around the clock preparing more food items, in addition to extending their business hours. They even extended their hours the past two Sundays to accommodate everyone’s appetite.
“Perfect Peace Café & Bakery is a long time waiting for this great community,” said Father Michael Pfleger, pastor of
Saint Sabina Church.
Fr. Pfleger shares words of appreciation with co-owners Julie Welborn and Denise Nicholes for Perfect Peace Cafe & Bakery coming to Auburn Gresham.

“They bring the same, if not better, baked goods and foods selections that you can get in other affluent communities – and I plan to taste them all.”
Welborn and Nicholes received business development assistance from The Beloved Community enabling them to open their doors. According to the Beloved Community’s executive director, Jonathan Swain, “Perfect Peace Café & Bakery offers the type of footprint we are working to bring to Auburn Gresham with our community partners. We are excited about their arrival.”
While Perfect Peace Café & Bakery may have just recently opened their store front, they have provided catering services over the past year and also participated in GADC’s annual Auburn Gresham 79th Street Renaissance Festival.
This year’s festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2007 (10a – 6p) on West 79
th Street from Racine to Loomis.
