A representative from the United Kingdom, Deputy Consul General Ramin Navai, of the English Consulate, visited the Auburn Gresham community and stopped by the offices of the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporate for a discussion about the comprehensive community development work going on.
Ramin Navai was appointed British Deputy Consul General to Chicago in October 2010. A career diplomat, he arrived in the Windy City from Bogotá, Colombia, where he led on political affairs at the British Embassy. Prior to that, he held a variety of positions in London including in the Counter Terrorism Policy Department and Caribbean Team. He was also a member of British delegation to the 2003 G8 Summit, and traveled to France with the then Prime Minister.
Deputy Consul General Ramin Navai, along with 17th Ward Chief of Staff Keevin Woods, spent time discussing a variety of topics with GAGDC staff, and took time for a few photos to commemorate the visit.
