Father Michael Pfleger, co-pastor of St. Sabina Church was interviewed on ABC's daytime talk show Windy City Live. He spoke in detail about several aspects of his life from his calling to work in the African American community and loss of his foster son to gun violence, to living out the legacy of his mentor, Dr. Martin Luther King and amicable relationship with Cardinal Francis George.
This past weekend, Fr. Pfleger led a group of his parishioners on a march to protest gun violence locally and across the country. This march was part of a Sunday Mass in which Fr. Pfleger called his congregation to action as part of the Gospel proclamation. Click here to read more.
An informative interview, Fr. Pfleger also talked about Catholic priest's ability to adopt children, his belief of the role of the Church today, violence prevention tactics, and reasons for not entering the political field as an elected official.
