INVEST South/West Auburn Gresham Artist-in-Residence Closing Out the Summer with a Bang!

Sylvain Studios is nearing the completion of one of our largest murals to date! Colors of Community is Sylvain's capstone project as Artist-in-Residence for Auburn Gresham with the city's INVEST South/West initiative. It is a creative revitalization of the 79th Street Business Corridor. Incorporating symbols and colors that make up the Auburn Gresham visual landscape, Colors of Community serves as continuation of the neighborhood’s aesthetic legacy. Through this mural (an another to come), Sylvain aims to uplift the community with larger than life public art and utilize neighborhood landmarks as unexpected canvases. To celebrate, we're hosting an unveiling event this Saturday, August 13, 2022.
