SHOP SOUTH", Shop Local, Red Velvet Extravagaza Shopping event, kicked off a pre-Black Friday, neighborhood sales event for local independent businesses, including those in the Auburn Gresham Neighborhood Business Development Center's service area.
We sincerely appreciate the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) supporting the Red Velvet Shopping Extravaganza. It was a phenomenal event, thanks to the support of our sponsors. We had 283 people (shoppers) to attend the event during a four hour period of time.
We serviced 39 small business owners, 6 of which were small business owners from GAGC's Neighborhood Business Development Center (NBDC) service area. Our goal is to help small independent business owners build new relationships and increase their client base and profits. We equally have the goal of ensuring we educate community residents and shoppers on the importance of shopping local.
Collectively working with the Illinois Institute of Technology and Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation, we have been able to help entrepreneurs increase their education and understanding on technology uses, while opening a platform for them to increase revenues, at the SHOP SOUTH, shop local shopping experience.
