Food 4 Less Grand Opening at 71st and Ashland

On September 20, 2006, the Englewood community made history by opening its first Food 4 Less store on the southwest side in the city of Chicago. Located at 71st and Ashland, Food 4 Less is very accessible to residents in the Englewood, Auburn-Gresham, and West Chatham communities. Likewise, its prime location is bound to make them as successful as their parent and supermarket giant, Kroger.

The evening previous to the grand opening, Food 4 Less vice president and general manager Jeff Albrecht said to an audience of team members, local and state officials, and community leaders, "We are very excited about this opportunity to open a Food 4 Less in the Englewood community. We are even more excited to hire community residents to help us offer quality foods, convenience, and exceptional service to our customers.”
